The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) and RE/MAX have a much closer connection than their exuberant hot air balloon logos. Since 1992, RE/MAX has been the exclusive real estate sponsor of Children's Miracle Network. RE/MAX Associates have raised more than $45.5 million for the nonprofit organization's 170 participating hospitals across North America that help some 17 million children annually. CMN began generating health-care funds for children in 1983.

RE/MAX Destiny is a Miracle Office. Every agent participates by donating a portion of his or her home sale proceeds to assist the Children's Hospital in Boston.

SUBMIT: CHAF.pngThe Cambridge Housing Assistance Fund (CHAF) was co-founded in 1999 by Paul Turcotte, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Destiny in conjunction with The Cambridge Community of REALTORS® (CCR).  The presedents of several local banks rotate as chair and lead the fundraising activities. CHAF is a public/private partnership committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness in our community by raising funds to assist the homeless and near homeless with the startup costs of securing permanent rental housing.

CHAF has produced annual benefit concerts and most recently an event called Home Sweet Home to celebrate each year-long fundraising effort. CHAF has assisted hundreds families and individuals over the years with annual revenues averaging around $150,000 or more per year.

Homeless children are a special population with specific, complex needs. The Salvation Army serviSUBMIT: Our_place.pngng Cambridge and Somerville stepped forward in 1980 to provide a safe, stable learning environment for the pre-school age children living within the homeless shelters of the two cities. That pilot program has grown into OUR PLACE where a professionally trained staff educates, nurtures and provides stability in the lives of 28 infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers each school day.

Thanks to RE/MAX Destiny and the Cambridge Community of REALTORS®, OUR PLACE has been able to expand its programs against the long term effects of homelessness on young children, and to actively support homeless parents in their efforts to stabilize their families.
